First Sunday Adoration
12:30 Mass with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Litany of the Holy Eucharist, and Benediction
image As Catholics, we believe in the real presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. We believe in our hearts and openly profess that the bread and wine placed upon the altar are, by the mystery of the sacred prayer and the words of the Redeemer, substantially changed into the true and life-giving flesh and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We believe that after each consecration, there is present the true body of Christ which was born of the Virgin Mary, and offered up for the salvation of the world, hung on the cross and now sits at the right hand of the Father. We believe that there is present, the true blood of Christ, which flowed from His side. They are present not only by means of a sign and of the efficacy of the Sacrament, but also in the very reality and truth of their nature and substance (Pope Gregory VII).

What a blessing that is for us! What a great treasure and gift that our Lord Jesus Christ left for us in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar! Jesus waits for us and embraces us when we visit Him in Eucharistic adoration.

Every First Sunday of the month, starting on October 5th, we honor our Lord Jesus Christ, who is present in the Holy Eucharist. The purpose of Eucharistic Adoration is to provide us with an opportunity to spend time with our Lord. It is an opportunity to be consoled by Jesus, to converse with Jesus and bring Him our prayers, concerns, worries, joys, and our sins. When we spend time with Jesus, we allow Him to speak to our hearts and to give us peace. May this Adoration of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament on the first Sundays of each month be the expression our faith. May it draw us into a deeper appreciation of Christ's presence and help us grow in a more loving relationship with the Lord.
