Thank you all for your donations to the Soles4Souls Shoe Drive. Altogether, we have donated 470+ pairs of shoes.- Your donation of 470 pairs of shoes helps save approximately 14,100 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions released when new shoes are manufactured, and keeps 587.5 pounds of textiles out of landfills.
- Your shoes are processed at one of Soles4Souls 11 facilities, and then packaged and shipped overseas.
- One of Soles4Souls international partners buys your shoes and resells them to a local micro-entrepreneur, who can resell them to earn a living.
- In countries like Haiti and Honduras, 470 pairs of shoes can provide food, shelter, and education for a family for 8 months.
- Two boxes with 78 pairs of shoes will be sent to the Philippines to support the Alliance for Children Academic Future (ACAF). ACAF is the educational branch of FACA. We support the education of approximately 100 students from low-income families in remote areas in the Philippines. Walking is the primary mode of transportation for these students. These shoes will surely bring a smile to their faces and will help provide them with one of their basic needs.
