Regular readers of this page in our weekly bulletin know that we always present an honest assessment of our parish finances and our goals for our shared future.
We ask that everyone carefully consider what we have read and heard. Then, take an honest look at how our lives have been blessed by God and how we might repay those blessings with generosity to our parish and the many ministries through which we help and assist each other.
In addition to your generous and continued support of the wide range of ministries in our parish life which we fund through our regular collections, we especially ask everyone to consider the need to replenish our savings. It is necessary to repay the costs of our recent basilica projects, including ceiling, bell tower and stonework projects, all of which were unexpected yet very significant capital needs to maintain our magnificent basilica in which we worship. We know you have also noticed the other extensive repairs we have made and continue to make to our basilica, many funded in great part through borrowings from our savings.
Throughout the wonderful history of our parish there has been an uninterrupted series of very positive responses to calls for support. We know that the challenges we face today will be met with the same success that our predecessors in this parish achieved!
Whatever your decision, please know that we are always grateful for your full participation in the stewardship of our parish life—time, talent and treasure—including:
our attendance at Mass,
our volunteer work in our many parish ministries, and
our financial support.
Thank you for all you do for our parish and
please know that you are always welcome here!
