My name is Fr. Nate Payne, and having just completed my assignment at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Streamwood, I am very happy to have now been assigned by Cardinal Cupich to serve as your associate pastor here at Queen of All Saints parish. I grew up in the suburbs of the Chicagoland area so I was always vaguely familiar with the basilica, I suppose I knew it for what many know it for…the beautiful church with the huge lawn. But now I very much look forward to serving as one of your priests and getting to know the people who call this wonderful parish home.
I attended St. Joseph’s at Loyola University for my undergraduate studies, followed by Mundelein Seminary before being ordained a priest for the Archdiocese in 2010. As I’ve learned from my previous assignments, I know in coming to a new parish and a new community, there will be a lot of new things for me to become acquainted with, so please be patient with me. If we see one another, even if it looks like I’m occupied, please don’t hesitate to stop and introduce yourself. I would be honored if you did!
I look forward to living among you and, please God, he will bless our years together and we’ll be able to help each other on the path to holiness.
